I went on a website and they are selling a franchise coffee shop in california. It says asking: 25 thousand, and it makes a profit of 17 thousand a month. I don’t know much about franchise so is there more fee’s? Monthly, annually? I need detailed info…

A small Dunkin Donuts store (could be a sattelite store)
where we live sells coffee and donuts that are clearly NOT the authentic Dunkin Donuts brand. The taste is totally different in all of their products and also not fresh. The store itself has no bakery and we believe that they are buying leftover products from a non DD store. Is there some kind of “franchise police” that can check into the authenticity of the products that are being sold there?

I already have a business. It is growing and soon to be smoothly operating without me. I want to venture into something else (a coffee shop) however, I have no idea about this market but I have some cool ideas that I think would make it great. I just don’t know what it take to start it though. Help me please.

I have a friend who’se planning to open his own coffee shop, which I think would be fairly successful where we live, as there is very little competition.
However, this friend has a bit of a personal hygiene problem, and as he will be working there for the first 6-months or so, I fear that because of this, his business will fail before it has begun, all for the sake of a deodorant stick!
How would you handle this delicate situation? He doesn’t always smell bad, but I can’t imagine any customers would stick around. Oh, any other tips on new coffee shops would be great.

I’m looking to open a coffee shop and found this company www.saticoffee.com, it seems to be a european company franchising in the US.
Anyone have been in one of the stores and try the products?
I like the idea of crêpes, I haven’t seen a lot of places offering that in the US.
thanks

I was at the Starbucks Shop located within the Red Lion Hotel in Elko Nevada on Sunday October 15, 2006 at 3:45 pm, where I orderd a grande size green tea. I gave my Starbucks credit card for payment. I know that the last time I had used the card it had a little over a $21.00 dollar balance. The female clerk taking my order and card fidgeted with the credit card computer which was a separate device from the computer cash register. The tea cost was a $1.81. I asked for a receipt which indicated I only had a $3.99 balaance. I did not have the previous receipt so had no evidence to present with which to argue with the clerk about my drastically redeced balance. I believe she deliberately shortchanged me but how it could benefit her, I have no explanation as I am not versed in how that may have been accomplished.. I am only bring this to the attention of the Starbucks Corporation in the event this is happening elsewhere and they may stop it before we, as consumers, loose confidence .
