Is the economy and talks of a recession keeping people away from buying high-end coffee? Or is the coffee business recession free? I’m looking at buying a coffee shop and am curious to see if people are still spending on gourmet coffee.

I know what is it but I want to see what the general public thinks it is. I am debating on putting up visual signs in my cofee shop to show what is it verses a Latte. I know most of the time when people say cappuccino they mean Latte. Even at that a latte is pretty boring without a flavor. It seems every thinks these drinks already come with some kind of flavor. Boy are they dissapointed “this is all milk” ahaha

What is the average cost of goods sold for a small coffee shop, that sells some latte’s as well, small sweets, etc, non-franchise, about 700-1000 sqft. With sales of $1,000 a month including some light sandwiches, 80% coffee sold, 20% other sold (sandiwch, sweets, etc).
thanks

It seems everywhere i’ve been, they offer a punch card……after 10 drinks you get a free coffee (or there is no punch card, nothing)……. To me that isn’t enough incentive to frequent the same business.
Are there any franchises that offer, say LATTE or CAP for only $2, as long as you go there rather than somewhere else (or similar incentive)?

I love coffee, black coffee, sometimes a bit of sugar.
On rare occasions, I will order a coffee with a little cream, and a little sugar.
I am beyond confused, as on these rare occasions, after requesting a little cream and sugar, I am given a cup or coffee, and there is barely any coffee in a cup full of cream and sugar. This seems to happen at almost every franchise coffee shop ( starbucks, dunkin donut es etc.)
I am not one to usually rant on an issue so simple and stale as a cup of coffee……..but I guess I just do not understand.

i want to open a small coffee shop near a recent closed starbucks cofee location.please furnish me the locations where starbucks have closed shop

And, do you know any that is open to franchise? Legit info would be greatly appreciated.
